Spicy Tokpoki is the most beloved street food, one can find on the every corner in Korea. Typically spicy Tokpoki is a stew like dish with rice cake Tok, fish cake, onion, and green onion. Spicy Tokpoki was invented by Bok Lim Ma, who struggled with her life as a street vender in the ruin after Korean War in 1953, in Seoul. She dropped char-grilled tok in Gochujang and eureka moment hit her.
Bulgogi tokpoki is also named as Gungjung(palace) Tokpoki, as it was offered at Kings feast.
